Web Development Web Development Web Development Web Development

Since starting our business in 2010, we have built websites, custom web applications and e-commerce solutions for a variety of clients in a variety of industries.

We have built prototypes and information websites for startups, intranets and integrations with business systems for larger established companies.

We have built web shops with varying integrations against different business systems, with anything from 10 to 10,000 products.

Web Development

Tools

Most often we use WordPress as CMS (Content Management System), but also have experience with other CMS such as e.g. Craft.

WordPress is a free website management system. WordPress is very popular and is used by more than 40% of all websites, which makes it a safe choice in the long term. (See statistics from W3Techs.) The fact that WordPress is so popular also makes it easy to find developers or administrators who know the system.

For e-commerce we mostly use WooCommerce, but have previously also worked with Shopify. Read more about our services in e-commerce.

SEO and Performance

We build SEO-friendly web pages using semantic code that Google and other search engines like.

A contributing factor to getting websites to rank better in search engines is making sure they load quickly. By optimizing the code and the other material on the web page, it is possible to improve how quickly the web page loads and thus also the ranking on Google.

Pages that load faster also reduce the risk of visitors leaving them prematurely (so-called “bounce”), which in turn increases the website’s conversion rate.

Integrations and Customized Functionality

”Nothing is impossible” is one of our mottos. This also applies to customized functionality. We like challenges and love to build unique, unexpected and complex features.

Often special functionality requires integrations with other systems.

We have experience with integrations with a variety of third-party systems such as:

  • booking systems
  • ticket systems
  • payment solutions and BankID
  • business systems/ERP
  • CRM systems
  • databases with, for example, products or members
  • systems for managing personnel and recruitment
  • marketing services (e.g. newsletters and social media accounts)
  • tracking and analysis of data traffic and visitor statistics

Prototypes

When it is important to move forward quickly, perhaps the best solution is to produce an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or a POC (Proof of Concept) to be able to test your ideas with less risk.

If you have an idea, a prototype can be the first step towards the goal. Create, test, analyze and adjust. We help you all the way from specification to launch.

Intranets

Not all web pages are public. We build solutions for intranets and internal communication. We can integrate with other communication systems, e.g. Microsoft Teams, or create customized solutions for news feeds, bulletin boards, calendars and messages.

Custom Applications

We enjoy working with entrepreneurs. If you have an idea, we will be happy to help you realize it. Find tips and advice on how to take the first steps towards your vision on our blog.

We provide support from the first meeting. We can, for example, assist in conducting feasibility studies, creating specification documents, building prototypes, setting up tests and following you and your idea all the way to launch day.

Development on Demand

We have solid knowledge and experience in front-end and back-end development, and can support companies with these services.

We help companies that lack a pure development department, temporarily or continuously with development. We also help answer questions and give advice before technical decisions.

Support and Security

Although we always use secure solutions when programming the website, it is important to keep the site’s CMS and plugins up to date. This is to reduce the risk of security holes being found and exploited, which can lead to the site being hacked. Out-of-date versions of WordPress and plugins are the most common reasons hacking attempts succeed.

We offer all customers support packages to handle these updates at customizable intervals. At the time of the update, we also take a backup of the web page so that there is a copy to use if the page needs to be restored.

User-Friendliness, Backward Compatibility and WCAG

We build websites that are responsive, i.e. which adapts to the screen size and works well on mobile phones as well as tablets and computers.

For us, it is important that the web pages are accessible to everyone – not just those with access to the latest technology. That’s why we make sure that the websites we build are backwards compatible with older browsers, so that even those who use an older computer or haven’t updated their browser for a while can use the website.

Some of our customers need to adhere to specific accessibility guidelines (eg. WCAG 2.0) on their websites, demands which we help them meet.

For us, user-friendliness also means that the administrator or editor who has to edit the website has an interface that is clear, simple and efficient to work in. We therefore always adapt the administrative part of the website to the customer so that there is a good balance of flexibility and options. This is much appreciated as it saves time for the administrator and makes it easier to spread the knowledge in the company.

Education and Training

We always offer a review of how the website works and how it can be edited. At the briefing, we also discuss tips on how you can work with the content to improve SEO and the website’s loading time.

We can also produce user manuals, guides and documentation if that is something you would need to help spread the knowledge in your organization.

Tests

We continuously test the website during and after the development phase. We ensure that the page is responsive, i.e. that appearance and functionality work as intended on all screen sizes (smartphones, tablets and computers), and that the website works and looks good in different browsers and on different operating systems.

We also carry out tests based on other requirements specific to the project, e.g. accessibility (WCAG), extended backwards compatibility and speed (performance).

Who Owns the Code?

Sometimes we get asked who owns the code we program. If no other agreement exists, the client owns the code that we develop for them. Most of what we develop is tailored for our various customers, which means that the code is still only useful for the respective customer.
